Randomly, someone asks a question I can’t ignore. Today, the question came from a woman who was busy arguing with me on a topic we normally would agree on. But this time, we don’t. In fact, I’m so far off from agreeing with her on this issue that I seriously wondered if our friendship can survive this difference. I’m still on the fence, because my mind isn’t changing on this issue. And I’m pretty sure she’s stuck in her mindset too.
But is that enough to end a friendship over?
That question riddled my mind like bullets at a target. By the end of the day there were holes all over my thought process, and to be perfectly frank, I’m pretty sure her mind is riddled too. We parted on a careful note tonight. Our disagreement at arm’s length, waiting for a decision.
Division is a bad thing… It takes people who love and care for each other and destroys their trust. It erodes their ability to care for each other. And in some cases, destroys friendships that have been life-long.
Thinking about it tonight, I can assure you… If we don’t come to terms with it, it will become the ELEPHANT in the room pretty darned fast. And I’m not sure either of us is willing to live with that. But what should we do?
We both have valid points, and value our own opinion on this issue. It really does matter this time.
What’s the answer to this one?
What is Critical Mass?
Several years ago, one of my kids’ favorite movies was “Honey I shrunk the kids.” And we watched it often. When powering up the machine to resize the children, the scientist guy (because I can’t remember his name) said, “Wait until it gets to “critical mass” and then punch the button.”
I always kind of wondered what that was, so I looked it up.
1. PHYSICS – the minimum amount of fissile material needed to maintain a nuclear chain reaction.
2. the minimum size or amount of something required to start or maintain a venture.
“a communication system is of no value unless there is a critical mass of users”
The first definition, PHYSICS, reveals that it is the minimum amount of material needed to maintain a nuclear chain reaction. Or essentially the least possible amount of any given item to proceed into the time continuum.
The second definition, minimum size or amount of something required to start or maintain a venture… Means something different. As people starting out in 1492, three ships arrived in America unprepared for the hardships they would face… And yet, they maintained their presence.
In 1492, Columbus left Spain believing he had enough food and supplies to reach India by sailing west. He ran into the America’s first, and the people on his ship nearly starved to death as they attempted to survive the winter.
In 1620, when the Mayflower arrived, the pilgrims were even less prepared to survive in the Americas. Their supplies ran out before they were able to find more supplies, or grow their own food. Their struggle was real.
And so is ours.
In 2017, we face the divisive residual of a president hell bent on destroying our country… with a president loved by the masses, and hated by mass media. The definition of struggle has slapped most of us across the face in one way or another over the past 9 years, many of us barely able to function at the end of the previous administration, due to the contortions by which we had to achieve any action.
- Health insurance was gone, or so expensive we couldn’t afford it.
- Housing was impossibly out of our reach.
- Life in general was so expensive we struggled to keep up.
- Jobs were gone. Just gone.
- And the world where we grew up… That was gone too.
In its place was a world where we were strangers. Even those of us who remembered the civil unrest of segregation couldn’t recognize the dysfunctional new normal that attempted to suffocate us just prior to the election. Many of us prayed for escape… Come Lord Jesus because the song of preference at many churches with the looming disaster of Hillary in the white house, according to the press. But then, the press was wrong. When Donald J. Trump stood firmly in place to take his position as President, America let out a small sigh of hope. Hope that maybe, just maybe… He was who he said he was. We prayed.
And we continue to pray… For Critical Mass. Enough to take us to where we need to go.
Thinking Through the Lies…
Social Engineering Underway. They want you to believe Patriotism = White Supremacy.
Or as Ensi Bennett stated recently when commenting on the fact that Colin Kaepernick converted to Islam before his Anti-American stance began, “There ya go —- another Muslim telling us what to do and the stupid mindless brain-damaged children of entertainment follow the Jihad Pied Piper right into the abyss! ISLAM has no place or partnership with Freedom and our Constitution!”
Social Justice isn’t what you think it is… When the left is spouting social justice, or whining about injustice in today’s society, they’re really whining that nobody is catering to their wants and desires. The lie then becomes a premise of their own design to get what they want from the rest of the world based on their twisted version of justice.
When you read a news story that appears to imply a lack of justice, the reality is generally a premise someone is attempting to push as if it’s a world dynamic, or paradigm shift in thinking. No, someone isn’t being oppressed, just because they CHOOSE to feel offended by the words used by the President, or some Patriotic White Guy. The person is in deep oppression, because he chooses not to do the work required to move himself out of the ghetto.
You can still become whatever it is you want to become, by working and doing what it takes to achieve your dream. This is America, the land of opportunity. And it remains so, because we have fought for that right, by doing exactly that… Dreaming, and following our dreams.
Live your dream.
Literally, the key to making your life satisfactory, is the action you take to achieve your dreams.
Whether your dream is to escape the ghetto, or be a brain surgeon, or be the president of the United States of America, you CAN live your dream, if you make the effort required to achieve it. Help enough other people to achieve their dream and you can achieve yours. That’s how it works in this country. Seize the opportunity and take action, today!
Overcome Reactionary Thinking.
Are we living in a twilight zone? The latest liberal think tanks are shouting social justice from their knee caps, burning down the American Dream, from every aspect, and removing all opportunity for minorities. And still, minorities are falling for the disastrous lies and dysfunction. Destruction is imminent, and minorities are falling for it all hook, line, and sinker.
As Bronco, Derek Wolf said,
I stand because I respect the men who died in real battle so I have the freedom to battle on the field. Paying tribute to the men and women who have given their lives for our freedom is why I stand. But everyone these days likes to find a reason to protest and that’s their right.
It’s America and you are free to speak your mind. I just feel it’s disrespectful to the ones who sacrificed their lives and it’s maybe the wrong platform.
But like I said, to each their own. It’s AMERICA! The greatest country in the world and if you don’t think we are the greatest country in the world and you reside here, then why do you stay? A lot worse places in the world to call home. Proud to be an American.
We make choices every single day, to stand up for what is right and good, or to bow down to the wrong thinking that brings us distorted lies and destruction. Social justice isn’t justice at all. It is entitlement mindsets that seek out to destroy the American dream, American values, and American principles. Don’t fall for the lies. Overcome reactionary thinking by knowing your own values and living a principled life where you seek to always follow your dream, fulfill your goals, and achieve greater success.
Back to Exceptionalism.
I believe as a nation we’re at critical mass for change. I believe we’re there. In fact, I believe most of Americans (well over 60% according to the latest polls on values) have stated their dissatisfaction with status quo, and are ready to make a difference. We’re done with the whiny, dysfunctional liberal bias that has been destroying this nation, and we’re ready to push forward with principled representatives, strength of opportunity, and the power required to not only voice our opinions, but to accomplish the American Dream.
This nation is EXCEPTIONAL in the fact that we don’t stop. We, the American Heartland Community are UNSTOPPABLE.
Why are the people of the heartland unstoppable? Because we have a nation to protect, to rescue, to save, to provide for. Look at the people of the coast and take note of what they provide… Take a serious look at the ones who are out there protesting and complaining about their lives… They have time to complain because they’re not doing anything of value. They lift not one finger to provide food, sustenance, or value to this country. Not. One. Finger.
They entertain the masses.
Via sports, movies, song, these recreants complain and whine over their lot in life, as some of the most privileged, powerful, and vocal among Americans. And their complaints, their whining, is taken as inspired and broadcast far and wide by the mass media.
Why? Why is the media supporting mass hysteria in a time when JJ Watts is raising millions of dollars for Hurricane Victims, Tim Tebow is focused on helping children, and Ashton Kutcher is fighting to stop sex trafficking. These are just a few of the good things being done by sports and entertainment celebrities. How about some of the rest of them earn their big pricy salaries and do something of value instead of being ass-wipes and disrespecting our flag and National Anthem?
Let’s get back to making America Great again, be exceptional. Be unstoppable. Do something honorable.
