I’ve addressed this issue previously, but it needs to be reiterated often. What we’re seeing in Venezuela should be cause for concern in America. It’s not that I’m advocating military action — which may indeed come in the future — but we need pay attention for one specific reason.
The progressive socialist left in America was very outspoken and supportive of Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, yet we hear nothing about what’s happening there now. If this is their vision of what they seek in America. If this is truly what they deemed a model, an example, we should take pause to ensure they never have a position of power in America.
As a reminder, reported by Fox News, “Over the weekend, Venezuela succumbed to dictatorship. It’s going to take a concerted international effort to reverse this ugly development.
And those crickets can only lead to one very simple conclusion: this behavior evidenced in Venezuela is acceptable for America’s progressive socialist left. Funny, have you heard any statement from the group Antifa? Of course not, this is the true face of fascism, and exactly what the resistance movement is about and supports.
Maybe some of you reading this are saying, “who cares”…well, you’d better because this is a feature film coming to your home. If this movement is allowed to fester and succeed in Latin America, then it spreads into Central America, then onto Mexico. And actually, it’s already here in America, where an avowed socialist ran for president…and the cover of a news magazine once claimed, “We are all socialists now.” Hmm, not me, not now, not ever.
This is why we must come to the realization that we are in an ideological battle for the soul of our Constitutional Republic. The left in America has been careful in hiding their intents and have used the policy of incrementalism to achieve their desires, goals and objectives. They used identity politics via a cult-like charismatic persona in order to institute the advancement of socialist policies in America — and made it appealing. But when we see this abhorrent face, they find comfort in their silence, even though the Maduro regime has imprisoned Americans.
